Answers to help you
learn effectively.

Everything you need to know about our curation methodology, resource submissions, pricing transparency, and roadmaps.

What is Learnlists?
Learnlists is a curated directory of the internet's best places to learn online. Instead of indexing thousands of low-signal courses or affiliate links, we hand-curate high-craft tutorials, interactive code sandboxes, system design handbooks, math visualizers, and masterclasses across programming, artificial intelligence, UI/UX design, math, and engineering.
Is Learnlists free to use?
Yes, 100% free. Learnlists is an open directory created for developers, designers, students, and lifelong learners. You can search, browse categories, explore roadmaps, and access all resources without any account creation or subscription fees.
How is Learnlists different from other course platforms or directories?
Most course sites are driven by affiliate marketing and automated scrapers, resulting in endless lists of outdated or low-quality video courses. Learnlists operates on strict editorial standards: we prioritize "learn by doing" platforms with interactive feedback, zero filler content, pristine UI craftsmanship, and open educational access.
Are all the resources listed on Learnlists free?
The vast majority (over 80%) of featured resources are completely free or open source. When we feature freemium or paid masterclasses, they must offer exceptional educational value and are clearly labeled with transparent pricing pills (Free, Freemium, Paid, Free Trial) so there are never surprises.
How do you choose and vet resources?
Every website featured on Learnlists must pass our four editorial filters: (1) High Signal-to-Noise Ratio — clear conceptual explanations with no multi-hour filler; (2) Interactive Practice — platforms with code playgrounds, visual sandboxes, or project-based tasks; (3) Craftsmanship & Polish — fast interfaces, clean typography, and thoughtful design; and (4) Transparent, accessible pricing.
Do you accept paid listings or sponsored ranking boosts?
No. Learnlists does not accept payment for placement, ranking boosts, or unearned badges. All catalog rankings, "Site of the Day" awards, and "Learner Community Favorites" are determined independently by our editorial team to preserve absolute trust.
Can I submit a resource or my own project?
Yes! We actively welcome recommendations from engineers, educators, creators, and students. You can submit any website, handbook, or interactive tutorial via our Submission Portal.
How long does editorial review take for submissions?
Our editorial team typically reviews submissions within 2 to 3 business days. If accepted, your resource will be categorized, tagged with difficulty level and pricing, and featured in our catalog and Daily Launches feed.
How can I update or correct an existing listing?
If you are the author or noticed an outdated link, broken demo, or changed pricing on a listed website, please reach out through our Contact page or email us at thelearnlists@gmail.com. We usually process updates within 24–48 hours.
What are "Collections" on Learnlists?
Collections are structured, sequential learning paths (e.g., Design Engineering Mastery, Modern Frontend, Deep Learning Fundamentals) that organize the best resources into progressive steps from fundamentals to production mastery.
How can I search and quickly navigate Learnlists?
You can press Cmd + K (or Ctrl + K) on any page to open our interactive Command Palette. You can also visit the Discover Directory to filter by category, format, difficulty level, and pricing.
How can I stay updated with new learning resources?
You can subscribe to our weekly newsletter on the Newsletter page for a curated Monday digest, check out Daily Launches, or follow us on Twitter/X at @learnlists.
